bangs

Over the Christmas holiday, I decided that I needed to change some things up visually with my appearance. Now I couldn't get anything pierced or dye my hair a crazy color because I am still (unfortunately) going on a ton of interviews still trying to find my dream job (fingers crossed!). I figured what would change my look the most would be bangs. I cut them about two years ago and had the itch to do it again. I took inspiration from my girl Lauren Conrad and tried to get the look. Unfortunately, I didn't quite get what I was looking for and tried to fix them myself. Not a great idea, but I am letting them grow a little before going back to the hair salon. Persistence my friends.

Now having cut my bangs, I forgot how much work they are! When my hair is in a ponytail, my headbands cause my bangs to look like devil horns and they tend to get sweaty and weird. Not really buyer's remorse, but I do remember now why I grew them out. Here's to a new year with a new do.

daily jam-bombay bicycle club

I do love when Spotify Radio introduces you to a song that stays with you all day long. Today's daily jam comes from Bombay Bicycle Club an indie rock band from London, England. Even though this song is a couple years old, I was amazed I had never heard it before. They have some fun little songs which I would recommend checking out if you guys have the time. Check them out on Spotify

one year

Somehow, with the craziness of the past two-ish months, I missed my one year of blogging!

Cue the giant celebration because I have such a large viewing audience! Not that many people even read this, it is my little piece of the internet and I am glad I have been able to have a small outlet to record my life in. I have learned to make time to remember and record what exactly has been going on in my life. Especially with going to shows, it has been a great little diary of which bands I saw, who I was with and how each one made me feel. I look forward to taking this blog to the next level both content and design wise. Once I figure out how I want it to look and what/how much I want to share to the inter webs.

With the new year starting, some exciting (hopefully, positive vibes this way people!) news will be coming my way. This is already the year of growing up, making decisions, being courageous, and making things happen. I have a feeling this is going to be the best year yet, for real this time. Bring it 2014.
